Initialize the population, evaluate fitness, then apply selection, crossover, and mutation to search for optimized timetable solutions.
Review
Review the generated schedule, check scheduling constraints and conflicts, and validate the timetable before finalization.
EduSchedX is a web-based class scheduling system currently being developed for Visayas State University Alangalang. It is designed to support the organization of faculty assignments, classrooms, sections, and time slots and assist administrators in preparing academic timetables.
EduSchedX uses a Genetic Algorithm together with constraint validation and conflict checking to produce timetable options for administrative review. The Department of Teacher Education is the intended pilot setting for system testing and evaluation, while generated schedules remain subject to verification and approval by authorized personnel.
